When sorrow came, I went down deep, deep into my soul.And in my search I found treasure I could not believe:
My mother and father who adopted me as a baby,
And showed me love that no one could ever fathom.
Friends who grew up with me and shared their lives with mine.
My wife whose giving was unending.
Our children who brought unbelievable joy.
Then after 60 years Ellen left.
And God sent a great cloud of His children –
Family and friends to surround me with tender care
So that I rejoice in wonder at such love.
I know God will always bless your lives and mine
Through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
